How to Get the Most from Monitoring Building Energy Use
Before measuring your building's energy use, break it down. There are three energy uses to consider when assessing a building's operations, writes David Jaber: active energy, maintenance energy, and energy for heating and cooling. Furthermore, while it's vital to have the right monitoring tools, it's also necessary to establish forecasting and analytic tools to turn that raw data into energy-saving policies, Jaber writes. The encouraging news is that there are ways to control bed bugs. While there is no chemical "silver bullet" or quick fix, there are effective strategies involving both non-chemical and chemical methods.

"This is the service industry, and the people factor is huge. ... There is an immense opportunity for hotels to help educate guests to become more socially and environmentally responsible," Ricuarte says.
